2017 budget: FG spend N6bn on geodetic control, others


The federal government has allocated N6,812,285,653 for the execution of vital projects of the Office of the Surveyor General of the Federation, OSGOF, in the draft 2017 budget.
Of this amount, establishment, research and observation of geodetic control and the scale of the country got the lion share of N3 billion.

Other details showed that N1.2 billion was allocated for research and delineation of the international borders of Nigeria.

Others are upgrading and maintenance of high-performance servers, cloud backup, research, policy and relocation of data centers, which received N30M, makes data management software base for e-colleaction, IPSAS, GIFMIS, Ippis and others return, N2M and procurement of IT equipment , N2M.
International Earth science and remote sensing and summit got N13m, while N15m was allocated to build capacity to deal with and administer international border issues and N20m for international commitments to research and mapping.
