Osun Govt. says 7,993 households to N5,000 monthly stipend

Osogbo - Osun The government on Friday said 7,993 households of the country will receive a monthly stipend of N5,000 Programme Conditional Cash Transfer (CCT) of the Federal Government, as the payments begin in the country.

Ms. Adeola Oyebamiji, the head of state CCT office at the Ministry of women, children and social issues, this is a well-known journalists in Osogbo.
Oyebamiji said that the federal government has begun to roll out of money and the first group of users is drawn from Ife North and Ila local government areas.

She said that the 12 local government areas, Atakunmosa East, Ejigbo, Oriade, Olorunda, Ife North and Ife South, Boluwaduro, Isokan, Aiyedire, Ola Oluwa, Ila and Ifedayo, was chosen for the program.

Oyebamiji said households were identified as vulnerable and the poorest in the country, adding that the program will complement that of state governments in the ejection of poverty.

She said that a single register for the program is made by the state operations coordination unit in Yess and to the State Government for the implementation and subsequent payments.

Oyebamiji confirmed that with the start of payments, each identified user will collect N10,000 as scholarships for December 2016 and January 2017, while the second subsequent payment of salaries to their accounts Access Bank.
