Man arrested for slapping driver in coma over alleged reputation Buhari death.

-A taxi driver in Delta state has gotten himself in deep trouble and ended up in a coma after the allegation that President Muhammmadu Buhari is dead despite a clear warning from the president to refrain from such statements.

Leadership reports that the man had slapped to deep unconsciousness in the temple Clinic Junction Asaba from a 41-year-old man identified as Usman Bukar who claimed to originate from the state Kano.

According to an eyewitness account, Bukar said to have attacked the driver, whose name was not given after openly celebrated an online media report alleging that President Buhari had died.

The driver, who had joined other "free readers to a newspaper kiosk in Cathedral Junction Clinic reported to have celebrated not only death Buhari, but also stimulating comments on the number one citizen of the country.

Was quoted as saying: "The body of the president should be thrown into the river-Niger is very cunning fish and other wildlife to do justice to him."

his words enraged driver Bukar, who was also at the kiosk to buy one of the daily newspapers.

Leadership cited a source as saying that "he (Bukar) slapped the driver after the slap, the man immediately transferred to unexpected coma."

He was early police intervention prevented the issue from degenerating into a bloody battle between the cabdriver relations who later were called to the scene.

Leadership reports that the driver later rushed to a private hospital where revived at the time of the report.

The representative of Delta State police command Andrew Aniamaka confirmed that the victim receives treatment adding that the alleged attacker was arrested and detained for questioning.

Meanwhile, the date of return President Muhammadu Buhari has been known by the expert advisor for media and publicity, Femi Adesina.
