Morocco coach, Herve Renard claimed Ghana needed a little luck to win the 2017 Africa Cup of Nations, regardless of their quality.
The Black Stars since 2006, was present at all Afcon editions, reaching the semi-finals five times and the final twice in 2010 and 2015.
"Ghana has the quality to win every tournament, but luck always elude them during the tournament. They can win this championship, but they need a bit of luck," said Renard TV3.
"It is difficult to judge from the outside, but Ghana still have great potential, always with good players.
"Now the team is very different, but in any Afcon, there is a chance for Ghana, which normally are in the last four. Maybe they have to believe in yourself a little more and be a little bit of luck," he added.
Ghana is in Group D along with Egypt, Mali and Uganda, with the tournament kicking off this weekend in Gabon.
Renard led Zambia and Ivory Coast grabbed the Afcon in 2012 and 2015, respectively, becoming the only coach to achieve that feat.
He had also expressed interest in the coach Ghana in the future.
