A police inspector, NSCDC officer, a civilian was killed in the renewed conflict in Niger

A police inspector, officer Nigerian security and civil defense corps (NSCDC) and one civilian were killed Thursday night in a conflict between herders and farmers in Sabon Daga village in Niger.

DSP Bala Elkalla, officer for public relations of the police command Niger, confirmed the death of News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in Minna on Friday.

Elkalla, however, said that the police has the situation that occurred in Bosso Local Government Area of ​​the state.

"We have deployed enough police in the village of Sabon Daga as well as six surrounding villages to prevent further attacks," he said.

He said he is already one of the leaders of the two parties involved in the conflict arrested and cooperate with the police.

"We will get to the root of matter and those who wish will certainly be prosecuted," said a police spokesman.

Elkalla urged residents to remain calm and respect the law and go about their legitimate business as a command take proactive security measures to deal with any security breaches.

He sought the support of residents to volunteer information about those responsible for the violence.
